This week in our topic we have been looking at Tudor houses, discussing the pros and cons of being a King and learning some Tudor limericks.
We started our Literacy by practising our handwriting, we were given a Tudor limerick which we had to write in our neatest writing, some had a go at cursive writing. Later in the week we developed our Oracy skills by performing the poems in front of the class..
At the end of the week we discussed formal and informal letters in preparation for one we will be writing next week. We discussed what a informal letter is and the features. We then planned our own using a checklist. Some people will be wiring a letter from one of Henry's wives whilst others will be writing a letter from Henry himself.
In Art we looked at the difference between rich and poor Tudor houses. We had lots of fun drawing the different types.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
